The Very Worst Foodstuff Ever!

By Vanessa Summer

There are lots of foods around that, while delicious, are incredibly bad for you. Sure we can identify some of these things-most fast food, for example, while super tasty to eat, provoke havoc on your internal system and add way too many calories to your fat stores. But what about the foods that seem like a perfectly suitable thing to eat? What about a lot of the foods you give your kids? Keep reading to read precisely what a number of the worst things in the world are to feed to your family members (or yourself).

One of the worst things on earth, contrary to popular belief is a dish of macaroni and cheese. The make-on-your-own kind that you can buy, like Annie's or Kraft, is fairly okay but the kind you order in a restaurant is not. To work with one important example: the macaroni and cheese dinner for kids from the California Pizza Kitchen is incredibly unhealthy. This one food item weighs in at more than a thousand calories, more than sixteen hundred milligrams of sodium and almost forty grams of saturated fat! No part of that is really nutritious.

How often do you purchase those frozen pot pies from your grocery store's freezer section? On the outside these appear to be fine, healthy last minute dinners or lunches but the fact is that most of them are loaded with extra calories. The pot pies from Stouffer's, by way of example, usually contain more than eleven hundred calories, more than sixty grams of fat and almost eighteen hundred milligrams of sodium. You could find yourself eating all of your recommended caloric intake if you are on a mission to lose weight--just by eating one of these things!

You are likely under the impression that if you are going to acquire something from a sandwich shop, the vegetarian sandwich is your healthiest option, right? The real truth is that because of the dressings as well as other condiments that get added to them, they are often just as bad as something loaded with meat. The vegetarian hoagie coming from Blimpies, as an example, contains almost twelve hundred calories, sixty grams of fat and more than thirty five hundred milligrams of sodium. How could that ever become thought of as healthy?

A salad must be healthy, right? That's what many of us think. When we are craving something healthful and fast, we usually look for a salad to help fill us up with food that is good for us. Would you be astonished to find, then, that there are some salads available that are almost bad for you? TGI Fridays's Santa Fe chopped salad, to use one example, includes practically eighteen hundred calories. This is almost definitely due to the fact that this specific salad is the size of a large dinner plate, but think about it seriously: if you're on a diet do you want almost all of your daily calorie allotment to come from a single salad?

The simple fact is that much of the meals that we order while we are on the go or from restaurants is just not as good for us as the food that we cook and prepare for ourselves. Sure cooking food at home can be a pain or feel monotonous, but if you're watching your weight and trying to stay healthy, it is the best thing you can do for yourself!
